New Classes for Spring

Mysterious
Knitting Adventure

Our Mystery Sock Group has been very popular. So popular, in fact, that some knitters are actually addicted! In case you haven't heard about Mystery Sock, it's a Temptations sock knitting adventure. You create a sock as the pattern is revealed ONE round at a time. At the end of the session you'll be well on your way to knitting an original patterned sock. The pattern is suitable for double points, two circulars or the magic loop method. Bring fingering weight yarn and the recommended needles and see what appears. It's a great way to try one of our new yarns or whittle down your yarn stash! Space is limited so please sign up right away for this FREE group. Previous sock knitting experience is required for this group.

Organic Fibers

"Going green" is impacting everything we do. Organic yarns offer substantial environmental advantages and are still luxurious and easy to knit. Free of toxic pesticides, chemical treatments and artificial dyes, garments made with organic yarn are naturally beautiful! Here are a couple of organics we carry at Temptations that are standouts:

Blue Sky Alpacas

This 100% Organic Cotton is grown and harvested without the use of agri-chemicals. The colors are naturally occurring shades, free from bleach or dyes. From seed to skein, it's a good thing for your needles, for you and for the environment.

Rowan Purelife

Fairtrade Products

"Fairtrade" guarantees disadvantaged producers in developing countries a better deal for their products. The producers receive a price that covers the cost of sustainable production plus an extra premium that is invested in social or economic development projects.

The Mirasol Project, in Peru, supports local alpaca herd growers and their families by investing a portion of every Mirasol yarn sale in child-care and after-school care for the children of the growers.
